My favorite photos out of that kitchen shoot.

Below is hands down my favorite shot from the whole shoot...followed by the close up (2 photos below) of the strip along the back of the sink.

This is just such a wonderful shot. It is really warm, shows an angle to the room that incorporates both pieces of work that the artist completed and gets in a tad bit of the grain of the wood in the upper left corner of the photo to give it that interest of 'peeking'. Love it!
Wow, the difference a setting and shutter speed can make. I like the below shot just not as warm as I would have liked it but it is a good shot.

The next two shots are my second runner up favs. The following shots were acheived by sitting my camera on the counter (in the bottom pic) and just hovering with the camera in the first pic. Love them both for different reasons. The first pic is the stark focus to fade close up with the 55-200 lens. The second one was using the same lens but positioning the camera still on the counter and backing the zoom completely off.

Finished Kitchen Shoot

I am so excited that I just finished my very first home interior photo shoot. The job was to obtain photos of some mosaic tile work that a local artisan had created so he can showcase his work at conventions. The photos will also be used on a brochure and a mini billboard. This was an exciting adventure for me. The trick to this shoot was adjusting the camera to get those nice warm shots to show all of the texture that this artist puts into his work. This work is quite amazing, not to mention the kitchen is absolutely gorgeous as it is...adding the mosaic work is just icing fo this beautiful slice of cake.

This is a full shot of the counter area that holds the ice maker and wine. I chose this shot because of the depth perception. This photo was taken kneeling on the floor, very close to the stove to get the knobs in.

Above and below are close up shots of the tile work. Is it beautiful or what. I just love the wave pattern and absolutely LOVE the counter tops with this tile work and the yellow walls. I had to keep reminding myself that I was photographing the tile work because the kitchen was so beautiful.

This is just breathtaking. I really like this shot but there is another tha will be posted above this post that is my ultimate fav. This pattern was designed by the owner of the house. He sketched this out and the artist interpreted it into this masterpiece.

This is pretty much a full kitchen shot. Now remember, I had to keep reminding myself I was there to take pictures of the tile and not the kitchen but this kitchen is a BH&G waiting to be showcased. I was actually standing in the first part of the butler's pantry. The house was built in the 1900's and is just a beautiful piece of work and property. The owner is absolute doll and a gem t work with. I was so very blessed that day to have had the privelege to meet her and tour her home. If she or her husband are reading this...Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I had so much fun that day and would take pics for you anyday of the week!

I had so much fun with this shoot. We took so many pictures and I had them all over their house. They were the best models ever. I even got to try out my cool, handy (not) dandy black velvet backdrop. OK, it was a piece of velvet but I have to start somewhere right?

Wow, the difference light can make...amazing!

See the difference light can make. I really wanted to have an outline image look to one of her photos to 'showcase' her shape. It worked and I think the happy couple and parents to be will be happy with the results.

Full BW Collage

A full BW collage. I am still not happy with this layout at all but I will continue to work on it. This really can show you that you can take an ordinary lake and make it look like you were at the beach somewhere NOT in Ohio...say South Carolina or something like that. This was a fun day of snapping pictures of my son at East Fork before his rowing crew practice.

The opportunity knocked and I took it!

Again, I told you that I took over 300 pics of this kid that day and this was just precious. She was talking on the phone just like a grown up would and the pic of her BW with color bevel inset (with graphic phone wrap) was just priceless. She was just jabbering away with her little arm propped up on the sill....priceless I tell you, just priceless. Had to share! Again and again, love collage work.

I took all these pics of my beautiful great niece and just had to use them some how. I decided to do this. I took over 300 pics of this kid throughout the day. I really wish I would get to see more of her. She is a cutie patootie for sure.

LOVE collage work.

One of my other passions that I just love to create is photo-collage work. This has become quite popular with many of my customers and I often get requests to turn these creations into cards for the thank you cards from parties. Quite interesting and you can do many, many things with the pics from an event. The possibilities are endless with this kind of work. Time consuming but worth it!

Portrait photos.

OK, maybe not a full clothing change but I did get him to change out the outer shirt. He was such a blessing and trooper for me. The pics turned out great and the funny thing is that when I went to get these printed at Walgreens they argued with me that they were professionally done and said that I could not print them at their facility. I quickly ran to my car, retrieved my camera, and showed them that they were on my memory stick/camera and that they indeed were my photos and my work. They still made me sign a form.

Here are some more poses that I put my son in. I loved doing this and as you can see from the other pics...it was a few hours work with him. I even made him change clothes a couple of times. By the time we were finished...my son hated my new Nikon!

I have started this blog, initially, to put all my stamping and scrapbooking creations on this now....I am definitely going to use this for my photography.
